Approval for a Registered Training Organisation to Deliver Asbestos Training - New South Wales

Description

You will need this approval if you are a registered training organisation (RTO) and you intend to deliver asbestos removal or assessor training.

Obtaining this accreditation will enable your RTO to conduct asbestos removal training (ART) in order to issue ART Cards. ART Cards are compulsory for people intending to undertake asbestos removal or become an asbestos assessor.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible, you must:

  • be a registered training organisation
  • have acquired knowledge and skills of relevant asbestos removal industry practice
  • apply to the relevant Agency to have the specified ART licence course unit of competency (UoC) added to your scope of registration in NSW as stand-alone units, or as a core or elective unit within a qualification
  • enter into an agreement with the Agency.
