A domestic oil heating appliance is an electrical heating appliance that is filled with oil, but does not burn oil to produce heat. A solid fuel heating appliance is an appliance that releases heat through combustion. Solid fuels include wood, peat and coal. A portable appliance is an electrical heating appliance which is not filled with oil or another substance that is used to produce heat through combustion.
