To become an ATP, you must be:
- registered as an RTO with Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA), and
- approved by L&GNSW to deliver the Responsible Service of Alcohol course.
ATPs must nominate a trainer for approval to deliver mandatory L&GNSW courses.
Each trainer must:
- hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent qualification
- have at least 3 years experience as the holder of a managerial or supervisory position in a hotel or registered club.
For approval to deliver the course online for a provider nominated by an industry association, the application must be accompanied by written confirmation of that nomination. This must include an explanation of the relationship between the industry association and the provider.
