You will need this approval if you intend to undertake works on premises or an area that is listed on the State Heritage Register or affected by an interim heritage order. This work includes but is not limited to:
- full or partial demolition, alterations, extensions, building or developing new structures
- creating subdivisions
- removing significant vegetation
- disturbing relics or historical landscapes
- undertaking works on interiors.
Please consider that all modifications must be conducted in accordance with minimum standards for maintenance and repair described in the Regulations.
Depending on the nature of the works you intend to undertake, you may be required to provide written notification to the Agency prior to submitting an application for approval. If you intend to undertake only maintenance or other minor works, you may be exempt from this requirement, or from the requirement to receive approval.
