Approval to Undertake Works on or Near Roads - Hornsby Shire Council - New South Wales

Description

Certain works on or near roads require approval. The type of work requiring approval includes but is not limited to:

  • erecting, removing or interfering with a structure, work or tree on a public road 
  • digging up or disturbing the surface of a public road 
  • pumping water into a public road from adjoining land
  • connecting a road (whether public or private) to a public road.

  • class B (overhead protection across the whole of Council's footpath / footway with pedestrian access below and may be with or without  site sheds over the protection) per lineal metre, per month - $102.50
  • class C (located more than 300 mm and up to  1800 mm into Council's footpath / footway where the width is at least 3500 mm or not more than half the width of the footpath / footway, whichever is the lesser) per lineal metre, per month - $60.00
