Approved Traffic Course Provider - New South Wales

Description

You will require this approval if you intend to become an approved traffic course provider for the purpose of the traffic offender intervention program. An approved traffic course provider offers courses to traffic offenders who have pleaded guilty to or have been found guilty of a traffic offence who have not been sentenced. The goal of the program and course is to provide offenders with the information and skills necessary to develop positive attitudes towards driving and developing safer driving behaviours.

Once approved, you will be placed on a register for approved traffic course providers that contains details of providers in various locations across New South Wales.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this approval, you must:

  • be considered fit and proper for the purposes of the approval
  • be a traffic course provider
  • provide the authority with all details about your business as required, including a statement in an approved form that sets out the objectives of the course, the content of the course, assessment criteria, monitoring and evaluation process and proposed fee structure
  • ensure that your course complies with the relevant guidelines.
