Auctioneer Notification (Liquor) - New South Wales

Description

You will need to notify the agency if you intend to auction liquor, and you will need to comply with the following requirements:

  • the agency must be notified that the auctioneer is auctioning liquor
  • the auctioneer must be a person who operates an auction house or is employed as a professional auctioneer
  • auctions must be publicly promoted as an auction involving the sale of liquor.

Auctioneers will also need to comply with any direction given by the agency. Directions can relate to the quantity or type of liquor that may be sold at auction, or the manner or frequency in which liquor can be sold.
