Auctioneer Notification (Liquor) - New South Wales

Description

You will need to notify the Authority If you are a professional auctioneer and you intend to sell liquor at auction. You will not require a liquor licence if you have notified the Authority of the information contained in the form.

You are required to comply with any direction given to you by the Authority. Directions can relate to the quantity or type of liquor that may be sold by auction, or the manner or frequency in which liquor can be sold.

Please note that auctions must be publicly promoted as an auction involving the sale of liquor.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible you must:

  • be a person who operates an auction house, or is employed as a professional auctioneer
  • ensure that auctions are publicly promoted as an auction involving the sale of liquor
  • comply with any direction issued by the Authority. Directions can relate to the quantity or type of liquor that may be sold by auction or the manner or frequency in which liquor is sold.

Duration

Remains in force until surrendered or cancelled.
