You need this authority to accept or make bets by telephone or on the internet. This authority will allow you to conduct betting over the telephone, the internet, subscription television or other online communications systems at a licensed racecourse. You may also apply for authorisation to undertake telephone or electronic betting at private premises that are not licensed as a racecourse.
Please note that if a bet is made or accepted by telephone or electronically, it is considered to have been made or accepted at the location where you (the bookmaker) are physically located at the time the bet is made or accepted.
