You will need this authorisation if you intend to possess controlled drugs or prohibited substances (Schedule 8 or 9 substances) for animal research, human research, analysis, instruction, treatment of animals, supply to authorised persons, or any other approved research purposes.

  • be in charge of a laboratory used for the purpose of analysis, research or instruction

  • confirm that all persons who have access to the substances have never been convicted of a criminal offence.
