Beekeeper Registration - New South Wales

Description

You will need this registration if you own European honey bees. This registration is required even if you only have one hive.

Registered persons must comply with the Australian Honey Bee Industry Code of Practice.

Any beekeeper or person working with bees, hives, apiary equipment or apiary products has a responsibility for managing biosecurity risks that they know about or could reasonably be expected to know about. This includes the duty to notify the regulator of bee pests and to prevent the importation of infected carriers into NSW.

Registered beekeepers can view available apiary sites, apply for permits or licenses for sites and manage their sites on the BPASS website.
