Description

You will need this licence if you intend to catch and release reptiles (usually snakes) from any commercial and residential homes and backyards.

Under this licence, you will operate under strict licence conditions to ensure human safety and animal welfare.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this licence, you must:

  • be at least 18 years old
  • explain why a licence should be granted and describe the location / area where they will operate
  • provide two written references from people who can validate their ability and experience
  • demonstrate that you have a current first aid certificate and public liability insurance
  • prove that you have completed a recognised reptile handling course or have at least two years proven experience in handling venomous snakes.
