You will need this permit if you intend to undertake activities that would not otherwise be permitted under biosecurity legislation. Such activities include:
- animal, aquatic and pests and diseases
- contaminants and residues
- fertiliser
- invasive animals and weeds
- the National Livestock Identification System (NLIS).
You will also need this permit if you intend to undertake an activity that is:
- a contravention of a biosecurity undertaking / direction
- a contravention of biosecurity legislation
- a contravention of the Biosecurity Order (Permitted Activities)
- dealing with prohibited matter
- a contravention of a control order
- a contravention of an emergency order
- a contravention of conditions of a biosecurity registration
- a prohibited dealing.
