Biosecurity Permit - New South Wales

Description

You will need this permit if you intend to undertake activities that would not otherwise be permitted under biosecurity legislation. Such activities include:

  • animal, aquatic and pests and diseases
  • contaminants and residues
  • fertiliser
  • invasive animals and weeds
  • the National Livestock Identification System (NLIS).

You will also need this permit if you intend to undertake an activity that is:

  • a contravention of a biosecurity undertaking / direction
  • a contravention of biosecurity legislation
  • a contravention of the Biosecurity Order (Permitted Activities)
  • dealing with prohibited matter
  • a contravention of a control order
  • a contravention of an emergency order
  • a contravention of conditions of a biosecurity registration
  • a prohibited dealing.
