Consignment Authorisation - New South Wales

Description

You will need this authorisation if you intend to transport hazardous waste to a waste facility in New South Wales. Among other details, a consignment authorisation must include the following information:

  • the waste form
  • the waste code
  • the consignor
  • the receiving facility.

Consignment authorisations can be created using an online waste tracking system. A consignment authorisation may be issued by either a receiving facility or by the New South Wales Environment Protection Authority.

If a waste consignor intends on transporting waste out of New South Wales to a waste facility in another state, they cannot generate a consignment authority using the online waste tracking system and must contact the relevant environment authority in that state to obtain a consignment authorisation.
