Driller's Licence - New South Wales

Description

You will need this licence if you intend to operate a business that provides groundwater drilling services. The type of drilling you are authorised to undertake will depend on your licence class. There are six licence classes. Your licence will authorise you to use one or more of the following drilling methods:

  • auger
  • jetting
  • cable tool
  • rotary air
  • rotary mud
  • other methods.

Before commencing any groundwater drilling activities, you must ensure the landholder has a current work approval authorising the drilling.
