Firearms Dealer Licence - New South Wales

Description

You will need this licence if you intend to possess, manufacture, convert, acquire, supply, repair, maintain or test firearms. A firearm dealer is also authorised to possess, manufacture, acquire or supply ammunition for the categories of firearms specified on the licence. There are three types of firearms dealer licences:

  • Firearms Dealer
  • Club Armourer
  • Theatrical Armourer.

Eligibility requirements

Eligibility criteria will vary depending on the type of licence you are applying for. Please see the attached documents for details.

If you have never held a firearms licence or permit in NSW, or you do not currently hold an equivalent issued firearms licence or permit interstate, you are required to complete a firearms safety training course and provide evidence of this with your application.
