Fireworks (Single Use) Licence - New South Wales

Description

You will need this licence if you intend to purchase, possess, use, store or transport display fireworks for a single occasion / event only.

A single event may consist of:

  • a one-day event
  • an event up to three consecutive days
  • an extended display.

This includes a community event open to the public organised by a community or private organisation, such as a show, fete, carnival, cultural, religious or sporting event.

The licence will only authorise the use of:

  • ground displays
  • Chinese strings
  • theatrical / indoor displays.

You are not permitted to use any aerial shell type fireworks under this licence.

Please be aware that this licence cannot be issued to a person more than four occasions in any 12-month period.

To be eligible for this licence you must:

  • be at least 18 years old
  • notify the police, fire brigade and local council as well as any other relevant agencies of the event

  • be considered a fit and proper person for the purpose of the licence.
