Fishing Licence Agent Accreditation - New South Wales

Description

You will need to apply to become an accredited fishing licence agent if you intend on selling recreational fishing licences at your place of business.

There are two types of accredited agents:

  • Gold agents: no commission on fee sales, all money goes to the Recreational Fishing Trusts
  • Standard agents: retain 5% commission on fee sales, the remainder of the money goes to the Recreation Fishing Trusts.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible to be an accredited fishing licence agent you must:

  • have a registered Australian Business Number
  • agree to the department seeking credit information from a credit reporting agency.

If you are applying as a standard agent, you will also need to pay a bond and be registered for GST.
