Ground Applicator Licence - New South Wales

Description

You will need this licence if you intend to provide services that use pesticides (other than fumigants) to control weeds or pests affecting plants or soil.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this licence, you must:

  • be at least 18 years old
  • be a fit a proper person
  • have completed units of competency: AHCCHM307 - Prepare and apply chemicals to control pest, weeds and diseases and AHCCHM304 - Transport and store chemicals.

If you have a current occupational interstate licence, permit or certificate of competency for ground applicator work, you may be entitled to work in NSW under the automatic mutual recognition (AMR) scheme.

If you are not eligible for AMR or do not want to rely on AMR, you can apply for a NSW ground applicator licence under the mutual recognition scheme.
