You will need to notify the agency within seven days if you are a person conducting a business or undertaking (PCBU) at a workplace and you determine that work in the workplace is lead risk work.
Lead risk work is found in various industries, including:
- shipbuilding
- manufacturing
- demolition.
Lead risk work means work carried out in a lead process that is likely to cause the blood lead level of a worker carrying out the work to exceed:
- for a female of reproductive capacity - 5 micrograms per decilitre (0.24 micromoles per litre)
- in other cases - 20 micrograms per decilitre (0.97 micromoles per litre).
