You will need this licence if you intend to operate a poultry farm with more than 100 birds grown for the purpose of human consumption.

Poultry includes:

  • chickens
  • turkeys
  • ducks
  • squab (pigeons)
  • geese
  • pheasants
  • quails
  • guinea fowl
  • mutton-bird
  • any other avian species (except ratites).
