Owner / Trainer / Attendant Licence - New South Wales

Description

You will need a licence if you intend to act as an attendant, owner or trainer of a racing greyhound. The following variations of licence are available:

  • Public Trainer: train greyhounds for racing.
  • Owner / Trainer: train and race greyhounds which you either own outright or part own. If you are a member of a syndicate or partnership you can train and race greyhounds owned by that particular group. If you are a current attendant and 18 years or older you may apply for an owner / trainer licence at any time.
  • Greyhound Attendant: handle, box, catch and generally assist a trainer at a track on race days.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for an owner, trainer or attendant licence, you must:

  • be 18 or older
  • have a certificate of completion for the Registration Knowledge Test

To apply for an owner trainer licence, you must also allow for a kennel inspection.
