You will require this licence if you intend to become an attendant, owner or trainer of greyhounds in NSW. The following variations of licence are available:
- Train a Greyhound: you will require this licence if you intend to train greyhounds for racing.
- Train and own a Greyhound: this licence type allows you to train and race greyhounds which you either own outright or part own. If you are a member of a syndicate or partnership you can train and race greyhounds owned by that particular group. If you are a current attendant and 18 years or older you may apply for an owner / trainer licence at any time.
- Greyhound Attendant: this licence type allows you to handle, box, catch and generally assist a trainer at a track on race days. The minimum age for an attendant licence is 15 years of age. However, at 15 years of age you can only work for a licensed family member and you must forward a written reference from your parent/s or guardian supporting your application.
Please be aware that you must comply with the specified rules and your licence may be subject to conditions.
