You will need this licence if you intend to operate a medically supervised injecting centre. A medically supervised injecting centre is a medical centre where users of prohibited drugs can inject under the supervision and care of qualified health professionals.
Although any person who is involved in operating a licensed injecting centre is exempt from criminal liability for the administration of prohibited drugs, this licence does not authorise you to sell or supply prohibited drugs.
The agency is authorised to issue only one licence for one premises at a time. The agency will only issue a new licence if the earlier licence has been surrendered or revoked.
