Wildlife Rehabilitation Licence - New South Wales


You will need this licence if you intend to rescue or rehabilitate sick, injured or orphaned native fauna. Fauna are animals, including any mammal, bird, reptile or amphibian.

Please note that new applications will only be considered when a call for applications has been published. This will generally be when a gap or inadequacy in service provision cannot be filled by an existing licence group.

Eligibility requirements

New applications for group wildlife rehabilitation licences will be considered when the Agency identifies a gap or inadequacy in the rehabilitation of wildlife that cannot be filled by an existing licensed group. The Agency will publish a call for applications if and when it requires more licensees.

You will need to comply with the licence conditions to be eligible for this licence which are outlined in the attached document.


A new licence will be issued for no more than 12 months.
