Medical Radiation Practitioner Registration - New South Wales

Description

You need to be registered to practise as a medical radiation practitioner. Registered medical radiation practitioners perform diagnostic imaging work or treat people with radiation therapies or nuclear medicine and, depending on their qualifications and experience, may use the protected titles:

  • medical radiation practitioner
  • medical imaging technologist
  • diagnostic radiographer
  • radiographer
  • nuclear medicine technologist
  • nuclear medicine scientist
  • radiation therapist.

There are five different types of registration offered to practitioners:

  • general
  • provisional
  • limited
  • non-practising
  • student.

  • meet the requirements stated in the registration standards.
