You will require a mooring licence in order to occupy moorings in NSW. There are different types of mooring licences, which include:
- private mooring licences - authorises a specified vessel to occupy a specified mooring
- commercial mooring licences - authorises the licensee to allow vessels associated with their business to occupy a specified mooring
- courtesy mooring licences - authorises the licensee to allow any vessel to occupy a specified mooring
- emergency mooring licences - authorises the licensee to allow any vessel to occupy a specified mooring under emergency circumstances.
