Lead Risk Work Notification - New South Wales

Description

You will need to notify the Agency if you intend to conduct work deemed to be lead risk work.

Lead risk work is found in various industries, including:

  • shipbuilding
  • manufacturing
  • demolition.

Lead risk work means work carried out in a lead process that is likely to cause the blood lead level of a worker carrying out the work to exceed:

  • for a female of reproductive capacity - 5 micrograms per decilitre (0.24 micromoles per litre)
  • in other cases - 20 micrograms per decilitre (0.97 micromoles per litre).
