Paintball Marker Permit - New South Wales

Description

You will need a paintball marker permit if you intend to do the following:

  • purchase a paintball marker
  • possess a paintball marker when not at an authorised paintball venue.

A paintball marker is a sporting device that propels a paintball using a gas or mixture of gases.

You must store paintball markers in an inoperable state (such as having the gas canister removed) in a strong, locked metal container. They must be transported in an inoperable state and must be concealed in a secure bag or container during transportation. They must not be left unattended when being transported.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.

Eligibility requirements

You must:

  • be aged 18 years or over
  • have completed the NSW Paintball Marker Safety Training course (from 1 December 2021)
  • use the paintball marker inside an authorised venue in NSW.

Please note that for Paintball Marker applications lodged prior to 1 December 2021 the General Firearms Safety Training Course for Long Arms was accepted.
