You will need this licence if you intend to undertake fumigation work or pest management technician work (pest control services).
Fumigation work is the use of fumigants for the prevention, control or eradication of pests. Pest management technician work is the use of pesticides (other than restricted pesticides or fumigants) for the prevention, control or eradication of pests.
If you treat termites or other timber pests, a timber pest management technician licence will be needed from 17 December 2023 for new applicants or when existing licensees renew if after that date.
There are situations where you will not need a licence, which include the use of pesticides for agricultural or horticulture purposes.
Combined licences are not available. You will need to hold a licence for each type of work you intend to undertake.
