You will need this certification for the importation of firearms and parts into NSW. This certification is also needed if you intend to import the following:
- paintball markers
- imitation firearms
- firearm ammunition, parts or accessories.
The movement of firearms and firearm parts is controlled primarily by the Australian customs, but require NSW Police to certify that residents intending to import firearms are permitted to receive them. Without this certification (also known as an import permit) customs will not release the item.
