Pop-up Bar and Events Licence - New South Wales

Description

You will need this licence if you intend to operate or run a small-scale pop-up bar, event or promotion where alcohol will be sold in any of the nominated precincts.

A small-scale pop-up bar must:

  • only operate between 10am and midnight
  • not exceed 100 patrons.

A small-scale pop-up event must:

  • only operate between 8am and midnight
  • not exceed 300 patrons.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for a pop-up bar and event licence the applicant and / or staff must:

  • hold responsible service of alcohol (RSA) and have a valid RSA endorsement on their RSA competency card
  • notify local police within two days of making the application
  • have appropriate development consent.

Duration

Pop-up bars and events must not run for more than 12 weeks.
