Private Irrigation District Approval - New South Wales

Description

You will require this approval if you intend to form a new private irrigation district.

If you are the landholder of lands that are being worked as 3 or more holdings (property owned), you may apply for the constitution of those lands either as a:

  • private water supply district
  • private water supply and irrigation district.

Please be aware that different landholders with separate holdings can apply.

Please note that as part of the approval process, you have to provide details of any water use approvals connected to the lands within the proposed private irrigation district. You also need to provide the quantity of water proposed to be taken annually.
