Prohibited Weapons - Arms Fair Permit - New South Wales

Description

You will require this permit if you intend to conduct an arms fair that involves displaying, buying or selling prohibited weapons. You must be a holder of a current Prohibited Weapons Dealer Permit or a current Theatrical Armourer Weapons Permit to apply. An arms fair is an event involving the temporary display of firearms and / or ammunition for the purposes of sale or exhibition and to which the general public has access.

Please be aware that you can apply to have your employees authorised by your permit to assist in conducting and supervising the arms fair. Please refer to the Schedule 1 Prohibited Weapons document for a full list of prohibited weapons in NSW.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this permit, you must:

  • hold a Weapons Dealer Permit or Theatrical Weapons Armourer Permit
  • ensure that the premises nominated is suitable to be used as an arms fair.

Duration

The permit will be issued for the duration of the arms fair.
