You can apply for this permit if you intend to possess or use a prohibited weapon for a purpose not covered by an existing Prohibited Weapons Permit. You must be able to prove that you have a genuine reason to possess or use the weapon. Please refer to the Schedule 1 Prohibited Weapons document for a full list of prohibited weapons in NSW.
A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.
To be eligible for this permit you will need a genuine reason to possess and / or use a prohibited weapon.

The permit will be issued for a maximum term of 5 years.
