Prohibited Weapons - Leaving Australia Permit - New South Wales


You will require this permit if you intend to leave Australia in possession of a prohibited weapon. This permit only authorises possession of the prohibited weapon by having the weapon in the custody of an authorised weapons dealer or customs authority.

To be eligible for this permit, you must:

  • be about to leave Australia
  • have the weapon in custody of an authorised weapons dealer or customs authority.

The permit remains in force for a maximum of 7 days from the date of its issue.
