Prohibited Weapons - Scientific Purposes Permit - New South Wales

Description

You will require this permit if you intend to possess or use a prohibited weapon to carry out scientific research. You must be able to provide evidence that your research is legitimate scientific research and that a prohibited weapon is necessary in the conduct of that research. Legitimate scientific research is research endorsed or conducted by a legitimate research body, organisation, government agency or university.

This permit also authorises any employees listed on the permit to possess and use a weapon to which the permit relates. Please refer to the Schedule 1 Prohibited Weapons document for a full list of prohibited weapons in NSW.
