Prohibited Weapons - Theatrical Armourer Permit - New South Wales

Description

You will require this permit if you intend to carry on a business as a Theatrical Weapons Armourer of prohibited weapons. This permit authorises you to:

  • possess, use, buy, sell and manufacture prohibited weapons of the type specified in the permit
  • supervise and train people who are involved in film, television or theatrical productions in the use of prohibited weapons.

This permit does not authorise people under the age of 18 years who are involved in the production concerned to possess and use prohibited weapons to which the permit relates. Please refer to the Schedule 1 Prohibited Weapons document for a full list of prohibited weapons in NSW.

To be eligible for this permit, you must:

  • be at least 18 years old
  • demonstrate that the premises intended to be used for your business is suitable.

All employees must be listed on your permit.
