Recognised Competency Card (Gaming) - New South Wales

Description

You will need a recognised competency card to work in a licensed venue that operates gaming machines. To obtain a competency card, you must have graduated from a Responsible Conduct of Gaming (RCG) course delivered by an approved training organisation.

Gaming machines are only allowed in registered clubs and venues with a full hotel licence. You will require this card to perform any of the following roles:

  • licensee (of a full hotel)
  • secretary (of a registered club)
  • gaming-related staff (this may include staff who patrol or serve in a gaming area, or staff who are involved in paying out winnings to patrons).

When you have completed your course you will be provided with an interim certificate. This certificate will allow you to work for a short period of time only before you are required to get a photo competency card.
