Recognised Competency Card (Gaming) - New South Wales

Description

You will need a recognised competency card to work in a licensed venue that operates gaming machines. To obtain a competency card, you must have graduated from a Responsible Conduct of Gambling (RCG) course delivered by an approved training organisation.

Gaming machines are only allowed in registered clubs and venues with a full hotel licence. You may require this card if your business or club operates gaming machines and you:

  • are a licensee of a business
  • work with gaming machines
  • are a Responsible Gambling Officer
  • are a club director
  • are a director with an operational role in a company that owns hotels or clubs
  • work as a crowd controller or bouncer

When you have completed your course you will be given an interim certificate. This certificate will allow you to work for a short period of time before you are required to order a photo competency card.
