Registration of a Greyhound as a Sire (Greyhound Racing) - New South Wales

Description

A greyhound should not be used as a sire unless it is registered. A sire is a male greyhound used for breeding. The granting of this registration is conditional on the greyhound being in the control of a stud master. A stud master is the person who will be held responsible for supervising the mating activities of greyhounds. This includes the care and custody of the sire.

When registration has been granted, you will be provided with a unique identification number.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this registration you must:

  • provide a DNA fingerprint analysis
  • provide a fertility test
  • provide all documents and other items in relation to the sire for inspection (if required)
  • complete the prescribed form
  • pay the prescribed fee.

This form must be completed by a licensed Stud Manager.
