To be eligible for this registration, your organisation must be either:
- an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Corporation (within the meaning of the Australian Government Act)
- an Aboriginal Land Council (within the meaning of the Aboriginal Land Rights Act)
- a body corporate which the AHO is satisfied is controlled, either directly or indirectly by Aboriginal people or Torres Strait Islanders (or both).
In order to demonstrate that your organisation is eligible, your application must include, but is not limited to, the following details of your organisation:
- constitution and by-laws
- governance structure
- ABN and charitable status
- strategic or business plans
- a completed Registration Form
- a current Audited Financial Statement.
