Retrieving Trial Firearms Permit - New South Wales

Description

This permit will authorise you, on behalf of a club affiliated with the Australian National Kennel Council, to conduct organised activities involving the possession and use of a firearm for the purposes of retrieving trials for dogs.

A retrieving trial is an event during which competitions involving registered gundogs are conducted, to determine their relative merits in the field under conditions which closely imitate those which would be found whilst hunting. An integral aspect of this is the use of shotguns to discharge primers and the retrieval by the dog of an item.

Please be aware that this permit also authorises possession of non-prohibited firearms for the purpose of enabling other persons (club members) to participate in retrieving trials.
