You may need this approval if you intend to design and / or use a method of segregation for transporting dangerous and incompatible goods by road. Please be aware that you may only require this approval if your activity does not comply with the relevant code. Segregation helps minimise the risk of incompatible substances reacting dangerously if they were to come into contract with each other. Such contact might be caused by a leak, spill or vehicle accident. Segregation is particularly important to prevent foodstuffs from being contaminated. An example of a segregation method requiring approval is a fixed locker attached to a vehicle.
