Stablehand Licence (Harness Racing) - New South Wales

Description

All stablehands that assist trainers of harness racing horses must be registered. A registered stablehand is permitted to do the following activities:

  • carry out track work on registered tracks
  • drive at any meeting to prepare a horse to race at that meeting (other than during the horse's immediate pre-race preliminary)
  • assist with the training, management, care and control of horses
  • assist with the pre- and post-race procedures affecting the horse.

Please be aware that you must comply with the specified rules and your licence may be subject to conditions.
