Timber Pest Management Technician Licence - New South Wales

Description

You may need this licence to carry out timber pest management technician work. Timber pest management technician work involves the use of pesticides for the prevention, control or eradication of pests that attack, infest or destroy timber for fee or reward. It does not include:

  • aerial applicator work
  • RPA applicator pilot work
  • fumigation work
  • ground applicator work
  • pest management technician work.

Please note that this licence is being phased in.

If you held a pest management technician licence before 17 December 2021, you can continue undertaking commercial timber pest treatments with that licence until it expires or until 17 December 2023, whichever date is later.

If you renewed or first got the licence on or after 17 December 2021, you will need the timber pest management technician licence for treating timber pests from 17 December 2023.
