You will need to track certain types of hazardous waste when being transported. There are two categories of hazardous waste that require tracking:
- category 1 - must be tracked within when being transported in NSW and interstate
- category 2 - must be tracked only when travelling interstate.

Waste producers, transporters and receiving facility managers are all required to track hazardous waste when being transported.
