Tradesperson Certificate - Medical Gas Technician - New South Wales

Description

You will need this certificate if you intend to undertake medical gas technician work. Medical gas technician work is the commissioning, testing, verification or certification of a medical gas installation.

Individuals who hold a tradesperson certificate cannot sign off on work. Any work must be overseen and signed off by someone who holds a contractor licence or qualified supervisor certificate. Tradesperson certificates are only issued to individuals.

Tradesperson certificates can only be issued for installing medical gas pipeline systems.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this approval, you must:

  • be at least 18 years of age
  • be considered a fit and proper person for the purposes of the certificate
  • have the necessary qualifications and practical experience as specified by the Authority
  • not be a debtor to the Director-General or Administration Corporation
  • not hold any authority which is currently suspended or have had an unreasonable number of complaints, penalties or cautions against you
  • not be an apprentice or trainee.
