You will need this licence if you intend to operate a business that employs people to use remotely piloted aircraft (RPA) for the aerial application of pesticides. A pesticide is any substance or mixture of substances used to destroy or alter the life cycle of any pest.
Pesticides are used in commercial, domestic and urban and rural environments and include bactericides, baits, fungicides, herbicides, insecticides, lures, rodenticides and repellents.
Any person who intends to control the RPA will also require an RPA pilot licence.
