You will need this permit if you intend to drive or ride an unregistered vehicle on the road network for a specific journey. Please be aware that this permit is only issued for restricted journeys or short-term use up to 28 days including either:
- a single journey
- a single return journey
- a number of defined trips to be completed within 28 days
- for a specific purpose (for example, for crop harvesting).
This permit will only provide you with limited access to roads. Some vehicles are exempt from registration.
