You will need this authorisation and permit if you intend to use 1080, a Schedule 7 poison, to control wild dogs. The use of 1080 is an established process to mitigate the significant impact that wild dogs can pose to livestock.
You must keep records in an auditable and approved format and be provided to an appointed chemical adviser on request. Records include details of people who are trained and authorised to collect, lay and prepare baits as well as the notification, storage and usage of 1080 on the authorised property.
If you need to reduce problems caused by feral pigs, foxes or rabbits, you may be able to obtain separate authorisation.
