Appointment as a Public Notary - Northern Territory


You will need to apply to the Supreme Court for appointment as a public notary if you intend to:

  • certify documents to be filed in a foreign court or the registered in a foreign country
  • take affidavits for use interstate or internationally 
  • protest or note protest of bills of exchange or bills of lading 
  • verify documents and take affidavits to comply with the requirements of a foreign law.
