Apprentice Registration (Electrical Work) - Northern Territory

Description

You will need this registration if you intend to work as an electrical apprentice.

You must work under direct supervision of a licensed electrical worker for the first 3800 hours (approximately 2 years) of your apprenticeship and under general supervision for the rest of the time.

An apprentice electrical worker is only to be engaged in electrical work on an electrical article, electrical installation or electric line which is physically isolated.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible you must:

  • be employed by a licensed electrical worker
  • complete a colour identification test
  • provide a copy of your Certificate of Registration (issued by Australian Apprenticeship Centre (AACNT)).
